I was so excited to finally get Theme Hosital during the Insomnia sale. I've been waiting to play this game ever since I played the demo on a PCGamer disc over a decade ago.

And then I played it for 10 minutes and found the game breaking door bug. I can create the blue outlines for a room (like the GP's office for example), but I can't place any doors on the room.

Just out of curiosity, was the retail version this buggy, or is the GOG version "special" that way?

UPDATE: I tried playing the game with the tutorial turned off and was able to place the doors this time.

However a new problem occured. Because I spent roughly 18 months (in game time) on one level, my cursor somehow got stuck on the far left side of the screen. I could move it up and down, and even select the file drop-down menu, but I can't move it to the right at all.

To fix the mouse issues, there are a few things to try in this thread:

Here's a couple of things that may help:
- Make sure the "enhance pointer precision" box is unchecked in the pointer options tab of the mouse properties menu in your Windows control panel.
- If this doesn't resolve the issue, you can save the game by pressing ALT+S, then close the game and reload after restarting

I have seen this question elsewhere so I'm copying my answer here .

If unchecking "enhance pointer precision" doesn't help you try this.
If you move the mouse further to the left, after a while it appears on the right side and then works normally, unless you move it to the far right again. It will get stuck again.
Anyway, after getting it unstuck you should always go for save-exit-restart-reload. That's the more stable solution.

edit: Also if you see again dissapearing doors look this http://www.gog.com/forum/theme_hospital/disappearing_doors
