swilco266: cool, i used to put heaps of plants. im having lots of trouble with people spewing. i have heaps of handymen but they cant keep up. any tips? i have a toilet in each building with at least 3 loos in each
I am not too sure if its the case, but from my experience if the corridors where people move and sit are too narrow it leads to people getting more unhappy/sick leading to an increase in puking/littering. I try to get about 4-5 squares in corridor width, 2 for benches/vending machines, 2-3 for walking. Make sure that there are plenty of space and benches outside the rooms that a lot of people, such as GP office and pharmacy. Try to separate the GP office and pharmacy with 2-3 other rooms to limit the accumulation of patients outside these rooms. I often add a second pharmacy together with more GP offices "deeper" inside the hospital so that people don't have to go back to the start for diagnosing or pharmacy treatment.
For a quite large hospital in the later levels i have about 10-12 handymen with 2-3 of them focusing on repair.. Note that i do not use any plants.
EDIT: also, i don't buy the extra hospital space until the very end of a level where i have to increase the hospital value to win the level. Often, a lot of handymen run around in the empty hospital space doing nothing.
NuDii: 8) Don't bother with plants, they just take up your handymen's time.
Feel free to add more if you got any :-)
SimonG: I read back in the day that plants "clean the air" and reduce epidemics. I always build plenty of them.
At some times i can get quite a few epidemics, but good management and by closing up some of the entrances/exits to the outside i can usually treat them all in time. And instead of having to pay a large bulk of money, i get a large bulk of money in compensation ;-)
