When I start up Theme Hospital, it asks me to input my nickname, which I do. I then go to load game and all the slots say "empty". If i go in game however, I can load the files just fine. What's up?

The save files are connected with specific nickname. So next time you start a game type in the same nickname you used in the previous game. You'll then be able to access your savefiles from previous games.
