Just brought it since I missed it when it first came out. So after installation, I try to run the game through the shortcut on start menu (the one under GOG.com in the start menu). But it keep saying "This game requires the CD in the CDROM to be played" or something like that. And If I try to run the game directly through the exe under the installation folder, it tells me to check my OS because the software is not compatible with my OS (x62 Win7). So what now? Did I just wasted $6?

Did you run any patches? That usually causes the CD check to reappear.

It works flawlessly for me. Try also the Desktop shortcut (but it should be the same as the Start menu one). The *.exe in the install directory won't work on modern OSs.

Have you installed the game NOT in the program files folder?

Try running the game as an admin could help.

If it still doesn't work, try reinstalling it. The game works on Win 7 64 bit.

I kind of doubt they bothered to crack the game in this case. As with lots of other DOSBox GOGs, they've probably just mounted an image of the CD. That's what I did when I DOSBox'd my Theme Hospital.
ehmmm, I don't know if there's any patches. Since I downloaded and installed the game straight away from gog.com. And no, I didn't install it under program file folder since I have my own games only petition. So yeah, I think I just wasted 6 bucks... I really wanna play the game :(

Are you trying to run this on a netbook or a system without an actual CD / DVD drive?
I'm running it on my desktop. It has a DVD drive.

I will try to reinstall the game and see if it fix the problem.
