When I start playing a new game (1st level) it is slow and kind of freezes all the time.
What should I do ?

What kind of computer and operating system are you running the game on? The game uses DOSBOX which is a program that emulates an older MS-DOS computer, and this is fairly resource heavy.

If your computer is up to spec you may still have to tweak the DOSBOX settings to work better with your particular computer. I don't remember all this stuff from the top of my head but I'm sure the next poster will.

You need to change a couple of settings to get Theme Hospital to work well:

1) Uninstall theme hospital.
2) Make a new folder called: C:\Games\Thosp And install it in there - delete the 'Theme Hospital' folder name Gog tries to create. All folder names must be shorter than 8 characters for Theme hospital to be able to save!(Dos games....)
3) Find the Theme hosital folde rin windows explorer and find the file called 'Launch Graphics Mode Set up'. You may have to run this as administrator. Then change the settings to: Launch windowed and select the resolutions you would like Make sure it's smaller than your desktop resolution).

You should now find that the game runs windowed but perfectly smoothly. Dosbox just hates running stuff full screen.
