Guys please help!

I've experiencing right now a bug wherein the surgeon gets duplicate in the operating theatre and when I try to pick him up and place him out of the room, the duplicate is still there stuck in the room while the other is outside. I've searched for solutions, and the only solution I've found is to load the save file before the glitch happened. Unfortunately, i don't have that save file since I saved my file when the glitch started because I thought quitting and then starting the game again would fix it. I'm halfway through the level and I don't want to repeat the level again back to square one. :( I just can't ignore the glitch because after some time the game will freeze and i can't do much about it. Im forced to open task manager and then just end it. what do i do :((

It's been awhile since I've played, but I don't seem to remember any solution you can try. Restarting the level is probably your best option, even though it means losing your progress.

I've encountered this way too many times. Unfortunately, there isn't much you can do about it once you've seen it. As you've learned, your best bet is to start someone before the glitch happened. Once thing that might work now is this: if you enabled auto save, it will save in game 8 slot every now and then. If you are lucky, go back to your game and reload that one, maybe it's a version before the glitch.

To prevent this bug, don't pick doctors up from the operation theatre. If you need them out, edit them room and pick them up after they've left the room. Also, get into the habit of saving different versions throughout the game - you'll get used to it soon. It also comes in handy when machines blow up all of a sudden or an earthquake strikes.
