I downloaded, and started playing this game again, after not having played it for quite a while. It's a brilliant game - just as good as I remember.

The game starts okay. But after a few minutes (maybe 20-30 minutes of playing), I'm finding that, when I build rooms - doesn't matter what room it is, and then try and buy extra furnishings to make the room nicer, it suddenly makes me buy 10 of everything, instead of one (or however many I want) of everything. For example, 10 radiators, 10 plants, 10 fire extinguishers etc.

Why is this happening? And how do I fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Anyone?
I don't remember ever encountering this "feature" in the game, but my guess is that Shift+clicking on one of the furniture buttons might buy ten copies of it? In that case DOSBox has probably somehow got stuck thinking that the SHIFT key is being held down when it's actually not. This happens a lot with TAB as well when Alt+TABbing out of the game.

Usually the fix for this is to press the the offending keys - both Shift buttons once (left and right shift) plus Caps Lock twice for good measure, until it's off. This will reset their state in DOSBox and hopefully fix the problem.

EDIT: Looks like it's CTRL rather than SHIFT (I just ran up the game to check). Try pressing the left CTRL and right CTRL buttons as well as SHIFT above.

Ahhh, that's done the trick. Thankyou Meakins. ( :

Never had that happen before. Quite a weird, and frustrating bug, hehe.
