i also bought the Game, had similar Problems with it, did the following to have a working Version but also have the newest one:
1. Downloaded and Installed the Game from the Website so it is the newest Version (without Galaxy!)
2. Installed Galaxy, downloaded the newest Version (in a different folder!) and after installing it changing the Version to the next Older One like you described.
3. Copy Thea.exe and TheaMP.exe from the Working Directory to the Non-Working (renamed Non-Working to _org but deleted later as it worked)
4. After that you get a Mono Error, so i took in both Folders Thea and TheaMP the Mono Folder from the Working to the Non-Working Folders
5. So now we have changed the Loader Files and the Mono Framework but we did not touch the Game Files which are still newest Version.
6. Now the Game loaded and i could use Maximum Resolution, Game Version is now newest one, Spanish Works also (just tested because it was the Last that was touched with the latest Update)
7. Deinstalled the Game in Galaxy, i'm using the working newest Offline Version now.
Hope that helps to get the newest Version for Gaming, i zipped mine and keep it safe after that to have i ready for the next time.
