The first time I played through the game it worked without any issues at all. On my second play through under a new save slot, the messages that pop up in the upper left corner that usually say things like "so and so will remember this" were all blank and each time I entered a new area, regardless of where, the location fade in on the bottom left always said "Toad's Flophouse". When I reached the point where Bigby and Snow go to Crane's office, all of the dialogue options aside from "..." (silence) were "This choice is blank".

I'm not sure why the game decided to break itself, but there it is.
