Is English your native language? Because if it is, you are not helping yourself at all, with your confusing, half-meaningless posts. If it is, try to calm down, and type coherently.
MY bad, is that english enough for you. I am pissed off. I did everything. I down loaded game, and patches, etc..... When i get to sight, I have the game installed, and in library. I can not launch game.

Not much better, but calmer. Now then, you still have not clarified if you are using GOG Galaxy or not. You talk of "getting to the site". What the hell does that mean? I asked you already, do you mean when you view it in GOG Galaxy? The 'site' is this forum... GOG.com. Your game client, if you are using it, is not 'the site', it is GOG Galaxy.

Tell us what you have done to attempt to fix the problem. Please answer specifically:

1. Have you avoided using GOG Galaxy, opened your game directory, and double clicked on the witcher3.exe?
2. Have you downloaded and installed ALL patches for the game from the website, NOT from GOG Galaxy, before attempting to run the game?

Generally, how computer literate are you? Do you know how to access the directory in which the game is installed?

(To all: If he avoids answering these questions or gives a non-sensical answer, I am going to assume its trolling and avoid this thread.)
To all who are trying to help here... you have the patience of Saints. Good luck.
Yes I have done everything darkness58ec, that u have posted. Where do i finf the exe file to launch game.
You say you've tried everything, then you ask where is the file, means that you didn't try launching it not through GOG galaxy (also didn't reply on the question if that's how you're trying to launch it in the first place).

IF you are using GOG Galaxy then it was said above already that the path is here: C:\GOG Games\The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt

No, you clearly have not. The very first question was:
"1. Have you avoided using GOG Galaxy, opened your game directory, and double clicked on the witcher3.exe?"

Do you see the problem here? The question was "...have you double clicked on the .exe", to which you replied that you have clicked on it, but where is it! Are you drunk? Stoned?

Nah.. more seems like it is just too difficult for him to understand simple instructions, to reply to the point, to write "download" in one word and to put "?" in the end of a question :)

I agree. It's not a troll. It's not clever enough to troll. Trolls are deliberate and have an agenda. There's nothing here but befuddlement and extremely bad communication skills.

thelostdunmer: Yes, it should be there. Just find the GOG game directory then the Witcher 3 game, then "The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt" shortcut.

darkness58ec: Think he might be trolling. He told me that he followed my instructions via chat and it still didn't start. But I told him to start from the .exe, as you can see above.
i have the same problems as the guy.The play button is all greyed out and not able to use. Then i did as suggested and found the shortcut but all that did was to take me back to the gog platform where the play button was still greyed out...didnt help me at all...then i was searching for the watcher and went through ALL the files and still nothing. If gog cant release a game where you dont have to be a programmer to play dont fucking make the game...

update.....ok after a while swearing and throwing the tv out the window (ok didnt do that ) i did manually find the patch "i was looking for" in my files...after i did patch it from there the game changed from "waiting for release" to "installed" AND not about that.,..the play button was all in green. So happily as a hamster i pushed the button and what did then happen?...wait for it....wait for it....absoluttly nothing did.Infact the play button greyed out .So then i exited the gog (sounds like the caveman gog) and started the caveman back up and voila the play button was again in green. However i could still not play as it said to me "game is already running"...yeah in the background. So now i am trying to figure out what to do next? maybe uninstall the caveman? but how to do it without all its contents? any suggestions?

had the same problem as you found my solution that was as follows

uninstall the game and reinstall it again...at the very end it will ask you if you want to install the gog platfom because its easier to automatically install the patch to play the game....DONT
if you look under it you can manually install the patch from the witcher official site....do that instead.
After you have done that go to gog games - the witchers hunt 3 wild hunt-bin-x64-and use witchers3exe
that will launch you into the game.
If you have to do it everytime i dont know but atleast you now can play (as i do at the moment

So, was TW3 actually running in the background? If you click Play twice then focus returns to the desktop, but you can see the Witcher icon in the task bar. IOW, it is actually running. Click once, and make sure it is not actually running before getting upset. Ether look on the taskbar or alt-tab to see if it is in the programmes list, or use the task manager.

Also, please, please people, start to differentiate between gog and Galaxy. It's like saying you wanted to run Half-Life 2, so went to Valve and not Steam.
