Lot of patch for this game and may be many more to go, fine. But i had to reinstall the game end go trough the tedious process of re- dl all the update consuming in the mean time lot of time and bandwidith. So there is my question. Is there a way to store all those update on a HD at home???

Sure, you can download the updates from gog.com site. You'll find them in on the game downloads page in your library.
If you use Galaxy, you can go to "more" -> "get backup and extras" -> "game backup copy" and download the game and/or the updates installers in your HD.
