Preloaded the game at 70% and i got Witcher 3 checksum error on chunk 53, please contact support !! . What the hell does that mean ???

I wish I knew, but mine is at 30%. Try contacting support.

What did you use to pre-load? Try GOG Downloader, seems to be the best option at the moment. It will verify already installed files and re-download broken ones.

I tried GOG downloader and it gives me the same error. It also tells me to contact Steam support for some reason, even though I use the gog downloader and not Steam...

Well, I'm having basically the same issue. Download is stuck at 71.8% for some hours now. Kinda sad....

UPDATE:

I decided to remove the game from the queue and then start the download again.

then... Magic. It started downloading again, from the point it got stuck, and downloading at 1.2mp/s (a nice improvement, coming from 0.5mb/s).

But then, at 75% it stalled again...

Well, just my luck, I guess...

if you're using Galaxy to download the game, don't. Switch to the GOG Downloader, or download direct from the website. You'll get better speed and less stress

Well hey, it worked. Using Galaxy it took me a day to reach 71% of the download. I switched to GOG Downloader and it took me only 6ish hours to download the whole thing (Yes, started from scratch).

Guess I only need to wait now (and queue my pizza orders).
