AFAIK the network access request from the game itself comes from the .dll that the game uses to communicate with the Galaxy client through local loopback. It's active even if Galaxy isn't currently running so that things like achievements can be recorded.

i dont really have a problem with it anymore since i can start the game in theory without an active connection even though i'm not doing that.
But Zonealarm somehow seems to block maybe more than needed when i tell that program to deny W3 access to the internet.
If there is anything to misconfigure about Zonealarm i didn't do it because i just got the most basic settings, ZA just asks everytime a program wants access and out of curiousity i clicked "deny" the first time.
