emperror0815: yeah for some people it works, for others not.
Which just means it is a standard game release, only people with issues flood the boards because they are upset, which is understandable of course.

But it is by no means a complete or massive fail.

Not sure i agree with you, there's a lot of problems, some game breaking in W3, so in that regards im inclined to call it a flop launch (and thats disregarding my own issues with the game).

However the bigger issue is Galaxy, the way GOG have implemented it is terrible, it's litterally forced on you everywhere you go on the site. If it was a working stable thing, i'd be fine with it, but given it's in such a broken state, it's not right to try and force it on people. And yes you don't HAVE to use it, but the way it's pushed makes people feel they have to
I'm not forced to use Galaxy at all. How come that you feel this way?

It is labelled as "Beta" anyway.

Eh they did push a bit much with the "Try Galaxy" thing I think.

Since I knew I don't need to use Galaxy and how to get the GoG downloader links I had no problems, to some people it might seem like they need Galaxy to play though.
I moved my install folder twice and my windows install corrupted requiring a 'refresh' ... yet I still got it going with Galaxy. It was just the registry entries that were screwed.

Galaxy is beta and doesn't accomodate all scenarios just yet but I like it. I stuffed around a bit to figure out I needed to import the correct registry entries but it was only an hour out of my day.

I've posted the registry entries a few times on other threads. I can't actually imagine another way for the install to stuff up, you'd have to try pretty hard ...
So this must be the same principle as how people are affected by advertisements then. Never works for me, actually. Adds are just annoying, is all.
And this is why I haven't installed it with the galaxy in the first place, because galaxy is still in beta...
Downloaded the good old installer files ;)

It works differently for different people, because as you said it's still beta. I could download the game via Galaxy with no issues in one attempt.
