Alright lads, what's up

So ever since Witcher 3 came out I've replayed it multiple times with Galaxy installed and running in the background, and I never got any achievements. At the start I thought they were just bugged, but after a patch that was supposed to fix it, I still don't get any achievements after playing through Blood & Wine.

Do you need to use the in-game overlay (also I heard it causes stuttering, anyone know about this)?
Is it just a feature that doesn't work?

Also worth mentioning that I use TinyWall, but I have unblocked all the gog galaxy related .exes, I believe:
- GalaxyClient_Helper.exe
- GalaxyClient.exe
- GalaxyClientService.exe
- GalaxyUpdater.exe
- Witcher3.exe

Thanks for any tips.

I have never used the overlay, and most of the achievements are working for me. Most, not all. It seems really inconsistent, some people are getting all of them just fine, some are getting none at all, some are getting only some of the achievements.

That's the frustrating part, that it's so inconsistent. Out of curiosity, what OS are you using? (I have Windows 10 64-bit) I don't know if that could be the problem.
I've same problem, with DLC played, but only 2 achievements. Should've a lot more, but no. Win 10 64-bit here too.

Using Windows 7 64-bit.
Hey guys found something after some googling:

it appears that by deleting the gameplay.db file in "C:\Users<username>\AppData\Local\GalaxyCommunicationService\46987792513588502\47746531845925190" and then launching Witcher 3, Galaxy detects achievement triggers.
I just did it and got 4 achievements after some 3 hours of playing.

Unfortunately it seems like you have to do it everytime you launch the game, which isn't fun at all.

As long as no other problem occurs,it's a small bother.

Holy crap, that works. Just unlocked "Weapon W" by doing the step above and then opening TW3 and researching a mutation.

Don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but I'm often getting an error message "galaxycommunicationservice has stopped working". Don't know if that impacts achievements - I think it happened during the same session I unlocked "The Witcher's Gone South" - but it probably doesn't help.

I actually got this very same "GalaxyCommunicationService has stopped working" message thrice in two days now. Don't think it's related though, because I'm pretty sure the service just restarts after it crashes.

Wish the Galaxy team would fix it. It's incredibly annoying. Apparently this was already reported nearly one year ago but it wasn't fied.
