I have had this error for a while now but it is clearly not going anywhere anytime soon, so I need to exhaust my options before I request a refund.

As I am playing, both my screens will sometimes go black and turn off and I am unable to get them back without hard resetting my PC. It started appearing when I fought Foglets and I have now noticed it happens quite regularly, making the game unplayable, usually when there is some fog effect on screen but not exclusively. My PC can run DOOM on high settings without so much as a flinch, so I should be able to run this game on at least medium to high without a problem. So if I have to run this game on low settings to play it I may as well refund it.

I have already tried the following:

Fullscreen
Borderless
Vsync Off
All graphics options on lowest possible setting or off
Older GFX drivers
Underclocking my GPU by 100MHz
I have never installed any mods, so that was never an issue
I am playing the game on the screen connected to the GFX card rather than the motherboard, so that's not an issue either.

This is my last effort to find some help on this issue before I refund the game as I am unable to complete it in its current state. I hear many people with my GFX card (Nvidia GeForce 970) have had the same problem but either they were gone unnoticed on forums or they fixed it with a method that didn't work for me.

Here's my system:

Platform: Windows
OS version: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz (8 CPUs), ~4.0GHz
Amount of RAM: 8052MB
Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
Screen resolution: 1920 x 1080 (32 bit) (59Hz)
Graphics driver version: 21.21.13.7254

Please help if you can, even with suggestions. Thank you.
