siddham: Will I be ok with this?

Core i3 4170 (3.7Ghz)
GTX 560 Ti
3Gbs ram

Thanks
The cpu is obviously slow. May not run because it's dual core. Depends. Definitely wait until after release to see what people who have money to blow say. You'll probably know within a day or two. Graphic card is also below specs. If it does run you won't even get a solid 30 fps at low probably. Not unless you're rendering at like 720p..... MAYBE. Maybe less. Can't really say. Only reviewers have played it. The BIGGEST issue I see is the 3 GB of RAM. Windows uses like 1.5 at least. That means you'll only have 1.5 GB for the entire game. I'm guessing the actual game itself, not adding 1.5 GB for Windows will be 4-5 GB. Maybe 6 GB in some areas. Even if it does run with my first two points on cpu and gpu, it will drag your fps into the ground. Literally. It'll stutter, pop ins, you name it. I'm not sure if it support 32 bit either. Which I'm guessing you are. It might not since it's developed only for next gen and PC. You don't have a "next-gen" console? If so I'd play it on that.

Thats not alot of horsepower for a game thats supposed to be one of the most, if not THE most, demanding games of all time. You'd be trying to pull out a Tree with a Honda Civic. Your gonna need a few upgrades to handle this game above 5fps man.

So one thing I am learning here is that dual cores are likely to be redundant for gaming pretty soon...

Would that be right?
Even though most games dont actually use 4 CPUs

...or not?

Goodmongo: CPU speed won't be the issue. Number of cores is what will determine if you can it or not. As I've said if the game was specifically written to look for 4 cores then a duo core will fail. This happened with DA:I. it was not till it was reversed engineered and a new EXE put out by the user community that allowed those with a duo core CPU to run it.

Buyer beware.
Thanks Goodmongo
This is an issue I knew nothing about until you mentioned it

Further research reveals that the i3 series can run DAI since they are hyperthreaded

I am not a gamer who wants or needs to play the latest AAA titles at ultra
I tend to play games 5 or more years after they release
The game I am playng at the moment is 10 years old
well I am a gogger after all

Having an i3 when DA:I came out I know for a fact that it didn't work. The original EXE released prevented it from working. Someone created a new EXE to allow i3's to run DA:I but that took a few months to do.

You're just showing off :)
Will I be able to run this on the most minimal setting?

I have a FX-4100(3.6Ghz Quad Core) CPU, HD Radeon 7850 XFX Core 2GB Edition with 4Gb RAM.

Think I'll be able to run this at all?

Test sites suggest I cant although thats due to 2Gb less Ram and apparently my card meets it on all the required aspects like Pixel shader and Vertex Shader versions and more than meets the dedicated Video RAM asked for.

Depends on settings that drain VRAM such as resolution, texture, AA, shadows etc.. You could download MSI AfterBurner that gives an option to show current VRAM usage in-game, that way you could test real-time by changing options while you are playing to see how far you can go. :)

Ahh, thanks that looks really useful :)
