Boeriemore: OK. I downloaded and installed everything but cannot find the merchant named Bram at White Orchard
nor a blacksmith at Kaer Trolda, only the armorer. (there is a blacksmith sitting smoking a pipe but cannot interact with him and the map shows no blacksmith symbol here)
I also cannot find the quartermaster in Crows perch.
Finally, to change Yen's appearance it says to go to the Game Menu but where is this menu?
Please, can anyone assist?

Hickory: Bram is the merchant that you can save from the Griffin at the very start of the game, with Vessemir. You will find him just outside of the inn.

If the blacksmith in Kaer Trolde is sitting smoking his pipe, he is not available (on a break). Come back later.

The quartermaster in Crows Perch is to the left of the archway (as you go in) where the master armour (Yoana) is.

Cosmetic DLCs can be activated/deactivated from the main menu. You must quit the game to the main menu. It's in 'Downloadable Content'.
OK I eventually realized that the merchant I regularly deal with at Crows Perch is actually the quartermaster.

I have been back to Kaer Trolde a few times. Sometimes the blacksmith is at work but there is still no dialogue options.
This seems to correspond with the fact that he is not shown on the map. i.e cannot deal with him.
Thanks for your help on the other issues.

This is a fairly common issue with many games, whereby you cannot interact with items or npcs. The problem can usually be 'fixed' by saving the game and reloading while standing next to him.

It worked, thanks. Standing in front of the blacksmith I saved then re-started the game then was able to speak to him.
Unfortunately the Skellige crossbow he was selling was not a good as what I had. This was also the case with some DLC armor and the Nilfgaerdian crossbow that the quartermaster was selling
.
The Inn at White Orchard has only peasants and one drunk there. No Bram. (maybe he was not saved from the griffon.?)

I think the griffon scene is scripted for him to be saved, because he has the Nilfgaardian armour set. However, there is a very rare glitch where he can die, but that was supposedly fixed. See here.

there is a bridge, shortly before you reach White Orchard. Behind this bridge, on the right side of the road there is Bram, the legendary merchant that will sell you all he's got for half the price. Including the Temerian stuff.

Luck be with you (and clear eyesight) :)...
