I'm trying to figure out if this is just a glitch or if something's up with my GPU/drivers.

Basically I noticed two weird visual things during the Wandering in the Dark quest. I was not, unfortunately, able to get screens of either of these.

1. In the room where you fight the gargoyle, there's like this narrow, lit up line of rain floating in the map. Like the looping rain animation you see on ground textures? Just a line of THAT floating in the air, roughly from the door to the back of the chamber where the gargoyle is.

2. Later on, when you''re helping seal the rifts, the shield bubble your inside of was making some of the rocks in the map look like they had this garbled, blue, staticy stuff on them, instead of the normal distortion from the shader.

The out of place rain texture, at least, looked like it was in the map, and it persisted across a few rounds of quitting the program and reloading the save in question.
Did you try a reboot?
I got screenshots and take a save file where it's happening.

You can see it in the doorway in the attached image.

That's odd. I tried your save file and the artifact is there. I then loaded a save of my own, at the same location, and the artifact is *not* there. So something is clearly out of kilter on your system, and it has been stored in your save file. It is not the game, and it is not the patch, since my save is clean. The conclusion must be that something is wrong on your system.
Hm.

I had my GPU undervolted a bit when I was playing that section to keep it cooler, and that CAN cause artifacting, but that doesn't seem like it would create broken map stuff that would get propagated to the save file (unless map data's put into the VRAM or something?).

Anyway, I did turn the undervolting off as soon as I noticed this. So hopefully that's what was causing it. I'm going to run memtest as well just to make sure the system RAM isn't having issues. Verifying the game through GOG Galaxy didn't turn up any issues.

Okay, still getting the shader glitch on Kiera's shield bubble thing with the undervolting turned off. This happens *after* the point where I saved my game, so it's not like something broke and got put into the game this time.

You can see it on the stalagmite in the center of the screen, right next to Kiera's name:

I'm going to try reinstalling the game without using Galaxy.
