devivre: Yes, the Triss romance doesn't really work out too well. I do get that the Yen-Geralt-Romance has a lot of history which is why it will always be more important in a way. Then again there were situations, where I expected to see Triss' response but then only Yen appears. And even though the breakup already had happened it seemed like they were still a couple. I mean ... considering the long history it's not impossible that it goes like that but I'd expect Triss and Geralt to talk about it.
But of course this story is not about Geralt and his love life but it's about him and Ciri (and that relationship is very well done I think). But still when it comes to romance it feels like there's something missing here. The Yen romance is a lot better and more emotional, but during the last 1/4 of the game it also lacks interaction. It might have been a good idea to add one more slightly larger questline to each love interest during this part of the game.
Plus a few more dialogue options in general would have been nice too... but that probably holds true for many characters in this game. I had a few situations where I wanted to have a chat but it wasn't possible at all. But still it's a pretty cool game!
I agree. I think romance quests should be integrated throughout the whole story if present at all. For me, Witcher 2 was mostly about the romance with Triss and that continued right until the end of the story.
