Similar problem here.
Upgraded my PC (i5-6600, GTX970 4Gb, 16gb DDR4, Win 7 64bit), new system and all, latest drivers - the game won't launch. No error messages, though there are crash logs. Tried 1.21 and 1.22 versions, reinstalling game, repairing files, checked directx, register - still nothing.
upd. Forgot to mention - also tried to launch .exe file and from nVidia Experience. Guess what ;D Nothing.

sheldon_92: Hi everyone !

For about a week, I'm unable to launch The Witcher 3 while, until about 2 weeks ago, it launched without problem. All I have when I launch the game is the copyright screen and then the game freezes and I can do nothing else but stop it. After many attempts, the only thing I can do to play is to launch an older version on my HDD (version 1.07) but obviously I can't use my saves, HoS nor BaW.
As for the version 1.22 on my SSD, there's nothing I can do and the most frustrating is that his bug appeared for no reason. If anyone could help me, it would be wonderful, really !
For information my PC's settings are : i7 4770, GPU nVidia 970 4Go, 16 GB DDR3, Win 10 64bits...
Thanks anyway !
Same thing has hapend to me. Is it a Windows 10 fault or a GOG fault?

Elyseria: Hi All,

Same problem as Szkrobi.
I can't launch witcher 3 anymore with the patch 1.24 !!
avatar
Nellygie: Can you run it from the shortcut
It seems they forgot to add "MSVCP120.dll" to the patch.
I can't get it to launch either, just keep getting that message dll missing
Yes same thing it's somtehing to do with a missing MSVCP120.dll so it seems it's another Windows 10 bug / "feature"

Ok I fixed the problem by upgrading my 2015 Nvidea driver to the new game ready driver. Doing this some how fixed the missing dll.

Hello ! I just downloaded the last Nvidia update "game ready" and still nothing. Actually I have Win 10 and I start to wonder if re-install Win 7 is not the best (last ?) option I have...

Hello! Maybe you can try to uninstall all nvidia graphic drivers on your system and then reinstall the newest nvidia-driver.

Try to launch the game and then look in the event viewer and see if it's logging an error.
Administrative tools -> Event viewer -> Windows logs -> Application
Find anything?

Also, did you upgrade Win 10 to the anniversary update in that time period? If you did, go into the "_redist" folder in the game folder and reinstall c++ 2012 redist. You can do that even if you didn't upgrade the OS. You can install the DirectX redist too. See if that helps.
