Hi everyone !

For about a week, I'm unable to launch The Witcher 3 while, until about 2 weeks ago, it launched without problem. All I have when I launch the game is the copyright screen and then the game freezes and I can do nothing else but stop it. After many attempts, the only thing I can do to play is to launch an older version on my HDD (version 1.07) but obviously I can't use my saves, HoS nor BaW.
As for the version 1.22 on my SSD, there's nothing I can do and the most frustrating is that his bug appeared for no reason. If anyone could help me, it would be wonderful, really !
For information my PC's settings are : i7 4770, GPU nVidia 970 4Go, 16 GB DDR3, Win 10 64bits...

Strange indeed,it could your pc drive is having problems and this is only a guess (ssd).Anyway to check it?Have you check and verified game in galaxy?

Hello ! Actually, I already uninstalled the game from my SSD to re-install it on my HDD but it made no difference at all. Besides, I also used the "Verify & Repair" option on GOG many times. So I really don't know what to do...

Yesterday I played yet. Today can't launch the game just after update to 1.24. Version 1.22 worked but 1.24 spoiled my game. Is it possible to go back to 1.22? In this last patch is a very big bug.
After clicking the start button nothing happened , no reaction, no information - just nothing !

I can't launch witcher 3 anymore with the patch 1.24 !!

Can you run it from the shortcut
It seems they forgot to add "MSVCP120.dll" to the patch.
I can't get it to launch either, just keep getting that message dll missing

I reinstalled the game. It downloaded and installed 1.24 and of course it doesn't work. Missing files msvcp120.dll and msvcr120.dll are not missing. The are in the system folder. Launching from GOG.com shows nothing but if I try to launch straight witcher.exe it shows that those files are missing. Probably they will have to make 1.25 patch repairing this 1.24 which is broken. The patch spoiled my favourite game.

Just downloaded and installed GeForce Experience and the game is launching again.
I didn't run GeForce, the shortcut is just sitting there.

I didn't know that it's very simple solution. Just disable automatic update and mark manual, then it's possible to go back to many versions down. So I marked 1.22 and everything is working again. But the fact is that they spoiled 1.24 patch.

Having the same issue. started yesterday when I woke up. Shortcut for Witcher 3 was gone for some reason, so I went directly to Galaxy through the start menu to launch the game. Pressed play, nothing. So then I decided to try launching from the .exe and got the .dll error. Reinstalled the game, tried launching through both Galaxy and the .exe and still had the same issues. Good to know I'm not alone at least.

I have the same problem, too since today evening :(
