Edit: Arrgghh... well that was stupid of me. The power cord got bumped and I didn't realize I was running on the battery. As it got low, it apparently quietly slashed the graphics performance. Duh. So... never mind.
I've been playing The Witcher 3 for a couple weeks with all settings on Ultra and it's been running great for me. I have a GTX 1060 card that's been handling it very well. This morning it was fine too. Then I fired it up this evening and suddenly the performance is lousy. The GPU is pegged at 100% and the game is very laggy. I rebooted the computer. That didn't help. I regretably tried downgrading the graphics setting to high instead of ultra. That hasn't even been enough.
Anyone else have this problem? I didn't touch the game settings or anything else on this laptop between this morning and this evening.
