Heya, ppl! How do i tell the difference between stealing and scavenging? I would prefer to do it before the guards charge me :O . There is no indicator of stealing (e.g. skyrim). My thanks!

P.S. where can i find my horse armor? beards i suppose are at the barber's.

FOR EXAMPLE: an old lady asked me to investigate an abandoned house with a corpse inside. Can I loot stuff there? Or will it be considered stealing?
