. . . does Geralt move towards an enemy crouched and really, reeeeeaaaaaaallllllllllllly slow - as if he's Garrett trying to blackjack a dude?

It was bad enough fighting 4 "deserters" and getting turned into a pin-cushion by archers : this guy is shooting at you Geralt! why are you trying to veeeeeeeerrrryyyyyyy ssssssllllooooooowwwwwwwlllllly sneak up on him?!

And now the Gargoyle turns me into jelly, every attempt I've made.

What combination of buttons am I not understanding?
