Seriously though, this is probably one of the worst ways to add friends. Sure it's great to have as a feature, but being able to search for someone and add them would be much better.

we are many here to voice out how bad was gog attempt at "steamizing/socialising" there whole customer base by force and without reliable features for that purpose ... glad you found your friend
