Is there any screenshot option in Witcher 3 itself, or we need to use external programs for that feature?

No, there isn´t as of now. You must use mod, Fraps or similiar program or there is a way around it. Add GoG Galaxy to Steam overlay, then run Galaxy through Steam and then run Witcher 3 from Galaxy. This way, you can F12 screenshot and also Galaxy will track your game time and achievements. It´s working with current versions of Steam/Galaxy. Maybe not in future... But yes, it´s not very user friendly.

TIP: if you run windows 10 you can type win+G to activate the xbox overlay. You can take screenshots with it. You'll find them inside your videos or pictures folder.
