Hi, the drive I had Witcher 3 installed decided to format itself, is there any way of recovering saved games from a cloud service as with most other modern games? I've poured a load of hours into this and can't face starting again :(

There is no cloud service for GOG games. If you didn't have backups, your saves are lost.

Don't write anything to the drive, pull it out and try using an unformat or data recovery program. A format erases the file table (basically the index of all your files) - it doesn't physically erase the drive.
