Just finished downloading the Complete Edition (47+ GB) and now it reappears again as a download of just over 48GB? Is this a hiccup or another big download for this edition? If another, second download, this poses a huge problem to me since I am on a metered internet connection with a monthly bundle, and already had to divide the first download over my monthly renewal date. If a hiccup, how do I get rid of this second download in my queue?

Assuming you used Galaxy and just installed the game today you can go to Witcher 3 Complete > Extras
And download the offline installer for the second hotfix if you installed before the release of the first hotfix grab the other one as well (4gb is way better than 40ish)

Are you sure it is 48GB ? I just saw a similar post from another guy with screenshot but the new download is much small but the way it is presented to you is easy to be mistaken - for example the game is showns as 48.31 GB / 48.31 GB but then the patch is 785 MB / 47.35 GB - which is just 700 mb

I downloaded those patches (had to download them all patches since it was the original 48GB download that finished yesterday, so I didn't have the hotfix version). However, the update failed because of an "error modifying metadata.store". Seems they are making a right mess of things. For now i have decided to stay on 1.32 till they have sorted this all out. I started this download to see what happened, but when it went over the 1 GB, I decided to abort it since I cannot afford to use up my current bundle. Seems they messed up quite a lot with this upgrade, so I decided to go back to 1.32 and wait till this "next-gen" upgrade is working as expected. Thanks anyway!
