Simple question: I am unable to use the looted runestones (those that I have found during my exploration) in crafting - thus it's impossible to get them upgraded into the greater ones.

Bug or not?

And you have purchased/found the recipe to craft the greater runestones, right? Just making sure :)

Alright, glad to read this. For a second I just thought that only I have this problem.

For the time being you can only upgrade the runes you purchase or make. The looted ones cannot be upgraded.

Until we get a fix, you can try 'switching' runestones at the alchemist in the church east of novigrad. You can sell yours and buy his at the same price (he is not a very good merchant). Just be careful not to buy back your own runes because they still won't work.
