I have finished the game - IT WAS HELL OF THE AWESOME! But the quest "faithful friend" with horse in the end is stuck in my quest log and its finished... its little detail but still I need to mention this. So I tried to reload save from last chapter of the game but it goes stuck again, no change there. Also exclamation mark of quest tower from celar sky is still on my map and I have also finished the quest and I cant talk to the NPC witch quest icon because its finished, just the yellow exclamation mark is still there.

I've completed the game and this mission is still stuck in the active mission quest listing. I'm very disappointed that all the patches in the past few months have not fixed this issue. Anybody have a solution?

The new patch broke it even more, the quest now auto-fails during the ending.

I caught the horse, reunited it with its owner, followed the guy and his horse back to the village, but the quest still had nothing but a single objective with a green checkmark, no "quest completed" or anything, until the final cutscene where it fails. Honestly I don't know why I expected anything else.

The patch actually fixed it for me. It had been stuck in the uncompleted list but now in the completed after the 1.10 patch was installed.

Hmm... correct me if I'm wrong, but you used a save file where you already beat the game, and that quest was just stuck in your log, right?

I wonder if it's different for people who reloaded a save before the final battle (such as me), and didn't start the Faithful Friend quest until after installing 1.10 patch.

Yes, I had beat the game. The quest was stuck on active even though I did the objective (although if I recall correctly, the last objective was not marked as completed). After the update, it automatically completed.
