This is a topic I've seen covered in other threads as well, and the general consensus seems to be that achievements earned offline (even, as I've seen in some cases, where GOG Galaxy isn't even running in the background) appear to pop eventually, when logging online.
My issue is minorly, but, it would seem, not inconsequentially different. For the past week I've been reduced to using a shoddy, unreliable internet connection that works for 5 minutes before dropping for 30 before working again for 10 more and so on. As such, my connection to GOG has always been present whenever I would start playing W3, but would invariably drop during my game time. As such, none of the achievement relating to the HoS story, nor the damnable Gwent 187 point victory that had proven to be quite elusive until I ran into the right opponent with just the right cards, registered while I was playing, which I non-chalantly accepted to be due to the lack of a proper Internet connection, hoping they'd pop up when I'd connect at a later date.
Seeing they're taking their sweet time in fixing the issue, I've decided to use my phone to tether a USB connect which, while not extravagantly fast, is at least reliable and persistant. However, even so, when I start the game, it still fails to register all my HoS achievement to date (except for a few I'd already got a while back, when I had a more stable connection, such as the rad steez and the quit anytime ones).
Question is, anybody know of any way I could get those achievements to register, without having to replay the entire expansion-pack (delightful as it may have been), or am I, as they say, shit out of luck?
Update: Continuing to play the game through Toussaint, properly connected to GOG Galaxy, the Ofieri set achievemnt popped in when I changed one of the horse items with a newer one bought in Toussaint (I wasn't wearing the Ofieri armour set at that point, but I had crafted, worn it for a short while and then stored it in the chest). I also loaded a save game I had right before finishing HoS and, taking the easy choice, quickly got the Pacta sunt Servanda achievement. The I decided to try and get the "curator of nightmares" and "when it's many against one", loading a save I had from right before the fight (and, surprisingly, managing to win it on the first try, which I hadn't been able to before), but neither of the achievements clicked neither after the battle nor after the subsequent cutscenes.
