Just finished 3-4 hours of game play. (witcher 3). was on the mainland (Novingrad). Sailed to Skelige, did the funeral, tried to get the mask,died, tried to restart a quick start save, only to find that All my F5 saves were gone. Any idea'S

There is only one quick save game. It gets overwritten every time you quicksave. At least that's how it works with my installation of witcher 3 :)

If you want every save game you make to remain around then you can't use quicksave because it just uses one slot and saves over top of itself every time you hit quicksave. You need to do a manual save instead by going to the main menu and choosing save. You can set up a keyboard/mouse macro to do it if you wish it to be "quick" and have the appropriate software installed (Logitech Gaming Software, autohotkey, etc.) It's ESC+DOWN+ENTER+ENTER+ESC, with 300-400ms delays between each keypress.
