I installed from DVD 1.06 and it works. GOG was unable to detect the version number but did update it to 1.32. Hpwerver it then fails on MSVCR120.DLL for found. I have picked up MSVCR120.DLL from web to x64, but it then "unable to start correctly". The DLL I have is 971,064 bytes.

Try to install this redistributable: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784. It should help resolve your issue.
