Does anyone else find it hard to move without basically going full sprint? I'm having difficulty doing simple things like going through doors, up stairs and picking up items on the ground. I thought it was a performance issue so I dropped everything to the lowest possible settings and while the game is running well, it's still happening. I also tried with a controller, same problem.
I have some minor movement issues with Roach, when trying to start running while also trying to aim. Once Roach is cantering or sprinting, I generally don't have problems.

With Geralt, the main movement issues I have are when I'm trying to target something I'm standing right next to, or on top of, his minimal turning animation causes him to often move into a position that isn't helpful. It is often easier to target close objects if I just run away and then move back up to them.

The other oddity I have with Geralt is that, on occasion, he will turn the opposite direction from a targeted wolf and swing his sword at the air.
It just seems super clunky. I am loving the game so far but the controls are killing me. Sometimes literally.
I totally agree with you. The movement is unresponsive at best. When I try to sprint Geralt reacts only after like 2 seconds and when I want him to stop and stop pressing the buttons he still moves at least to steps further. It's like driving a tank. Totally kills the game for me. Which is very sad because I love The Witcher games!!! Please CDPR do something about it, it's horrible. I know it's supposed to seem like realistic movement but let's be honest here, it seems like the exact opposite. Please patch this to a "normal" movement i.e. when I stop pressing the forward button Geralt stops walking/running/sprinting and when I press the sprint button or change from walking to running Geralt should do so at the same time I press the button and not years later...
Please CDPR, I love this game, don't let this movement thing fuck it up for me!!!

I'm hoping for a fix. I'm not really counting on it just assuming I'll get used to it. I guess we'll see.
Well, if CDPR won't fix it, although some other guys put it on the wishlist for the next patch, I still hope that some modder will. It's annoying as hell!!!
