Whenever I try and log in on the actual Witcher III forum page (where the background is red and has the logo), it never lets me through. It doesn't tell me anything, it just refreshes the page with a blank Username and Password bar. I can log in on here just fine, but why not there?

This plagued me for ages. The answer, funnily enough, is quite simple: the CD Projekt Red forum uses GOG.com login details, and as such absolutely requires that your browser accepts third party cookies. Make an exception for CDP and you will be able to log in.
