Hi, Geralt is now level 54 in NG+. It seems, that from now on, whenever I reload a level 54 savegame, Geralt is level 70 ( on the character sheet the XP line reads 0 / -47000, that's right, zero of minus 47000 ), but with the old level 54 stats ( although a level 60 creature is now a piece of cake ).

It did not happen until lvl 54. I have already tried to level up again from an old level 53 savegame. I have also tried Galaxy's Repair option.

Has anyone heard of this before? Do you have ideas of how to get rid of this?

Thank you! Argh, I forgot about the Debug Console Enabler.
So, I removed it, Galaxy-repaired my game, leveled up again from level 53 (I distinctly heard the level 60 cyclops I prefer to engage for that purpose groan, "Agaaain?"), saved the game (lvl 54) in a new slot, quit the game, started and reloaded. Dang. Level 70.

So you've been using console commands? That could explain a corrupt save. Are you saying "no change"?

My money is on you having a corrupt save due to using console commands, but that's a guess since I have absolutely no idea how you've been using the console. I can't think of anything else that might produce such an anomaly.

My use of the DCE has been restricted to the free cam, and the very occasional god mode to skip through (in my view) boring repetitive parts of the game. Of course, you could well be correct.

A corrupt savegame was my guess, too. Sometimes I CTD in cutscenes, which often come with an auto-save. Probably starting from those is something to avoid.

I feel inclined to start a new NG+ right now, this time without any mods (I can live w/o god mode, but will miss the free camera :/). I am going to report back when I'm at that stage again (performing a thread necro ...).

LATE EDIT: No way. I am not going to play w/o god mode; for me it works either with it or not at all. I forgot how annoying the game's little shortcomings can get. (This isn't called "cheating", this is called "moving the camera out of the tight corner so that the player can see that Geralt is unable to move because of this toe-high threshold he can't step over while in battle.")

Seems this was a one-time misstep. I have started a new NG+ game, from the very same savegame as before, mind, and now, in B'n'W, I am 80+, and no complaints.

No clue what had caused this problem, nor what prevented it from accuring again -- all is well. ( Now, back to my Sangreal - **slurp** - aaah... ^^ )

So: [SOLVED], sort-of.
