Has anyone else noticed a lack of sound in some cutscenes? E.g. today I fought the ice giant, and when the scene came up that shows Geralt and Hjalmar killing him, there is no sound except the music... In the scene thereafter, the sound plays fine, and the sound in the game itself plays fine. I noticed this odd occurrence in one other scene as well; this all started after patch 1.21 and Blood & Wine.

Yes, I noticed the same thing during the cutscene when you first encounter the giant. There is no sound effects with him moving around and feeding the sirens, it's all silence. The only sound playing is the background such as wind and the music. It happened right after v1.21. I'm sure everyone is enjoying Blood and Wine and not playing the main story so they haven't run into that issue yet. I already reported it, but I hope more people do, because no sound during cutscenes are very annoying when trying to enjoy the story.
Having the same problem, I reported it as well. Hope they fix it soon, because it is a pretty annoying bug.
Playing through Witcher 3 for the first time. This happened both time with the Ice Giant. At the ship and in the cave. Very annoying. It is like watching a silent movie.

Have the same issue and I found a temporarily fix for that:

Go to patch1 folder and rename(NOT delete) file sound.cache in something like sound.cache.BACUP. Reload before the cutscene with ice giant and enjoy the sound.

I'm in the main game and didn't start W&B plot yet but I assume that when you start W&B quest the file must be restored back to original name...

Cheers...
