On va voir si ça corrige mon problème...

Dear lord this is the worst thing ever, why oh why have they hardcoded the movement keys. I'm used to QWES and various changes that come with it. I've been looking for an hour now instead of playing the game, trying to find some way to fix the keys.

This post in Reddit has some tips how it's possible to change movement keys in theory, but it looks really difficult:
reddit.com/r/witcher/comments/3690ue/witcher_3_pc_default_keybinds_what_will_you_change/crdt2zg

EDIT:

I got the custom keys to work with that method!
And they seem to work just fine in game, as in replaced WASD with QWES and the helper icons etc. all show the appropriate activation button etc.

What I did was go to the file, and just swap the IK_A <--> IK_Q, and IK_D <--> IK_E.

So for example to swap A-button and Q-button movement/actions:
BACKUP and then open the file "My Documents\The Witcher 3\input.settings"
Replace ALL IK_A with something unused for example IK_XXX
Replace ALL IK_Q with IK_A
Replace ALL IK_XXX with IK_Q

And do the same for all the movement buttons respectively. IK_W, IK_S and IK_D

Personally, without proper key input, the game is too difficult : I just uninstalled it...

If I had know before that the kb+m controls will be such a let down, never had I preordered the game...

Worst RPG experience ever for me...

I'm too old to try to adapt to such horrendous kb+m scheme : I play game for relaxation, fun and story, not to find another work at home...

isisprince: Does anyone know how to do these things? How do you refocus the camera? How do you climb down from a high platform?
Especially the latter (ladder, heh) is something I'm stuck with. Did you have any success here? If so, how?
