I haven't played any of 'The Witcher' series and have heard a ton of good things about The Witcher 3, I should be able to get some money soon to buy it if it's really worth it, I'm new to GOG overall and trying to get some DRM Free games.

Try to get it on sale. It's a common thing and that'll save you money if you're short on it.

But despite that, even at full price it may be one of the best game to pick up from these last years. Having not made any previous one could be tricky to catch some references on major sidequests, but the trip is enough enjoyable for a first jump into the serie.

A true gem that have been really magnified by the latest DLC and update.
whilst it isn't necessary, playing the first 2 games gives you alot more insight into the characters backgrounds, especially Geralts. TW3 is one of the most popular and well liked games on many sites; i've even heard it described as being 'in a league of it's own' because it just blows away so many other games. the story is memorable and really sucks you into the game, making you want to know more and keep playing. the graphics, scenery and in-game art are just beautiful and you can tell that the devs really spent alot of time and money on it. some quests are very short and simple whilst others take alot of time. the main story is kind of 'broken into chunks' -at least the first half is- so you can decide where you'd like to go first. the game has very funny moments all the way through to very serious and everything in between. there's alot of action, problem solving and hidden secrets to discover.

my own personal opinion is yes- the game is worth every cent and then some. out of all the games i've played, it's the one that i keep going back to because of how good it is. hope this has helped.

Do your homework and read up on how many awards it won.
