No - "Waiting for release"
same here. If I turn Galaxy off then back on, it attempts but then installation failed. Not sure if it will attempt its self so I turn it off then on and let it try again :(
Did a manual install using the RAR files, Galaxy recognised it and patched it. if that option helps

Yeah - it appears if you try and manually patch using the binary at http://play.thewitcher.com/, its looking for the *.bin files:

setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-1.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-2.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-3.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-4.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-5.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28-6.bin
setup_the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_2.0.0.28.exe

If you pre-downloaded with Galaxy, as I did, it extracts the contents, so no bin files.

Currently re-downloading....4GB left to go. -Even though Galaxy is *still* displaying 'Waiting for release'.

its a site like play.thewitcher.com not exactly sure but if u google it im sure itll pop up
Galaxy updated the game on it's own for me at 6:00pm tonight about an hour before the official release. I was up and running in the game before the announcement ran out, so if that counts as up, count me as up with Galaxy. :)
For whoever's keeping score, Galaxy didn't work for me. (Pre-install finished days ago, but I couldn't manually "patch" and the client is still denying that the game is ready to play... so I'm downloading all the files directly from the website via web browser).

UPDATE: Direct-download was the ticket. Now I just need a faster computer. LOL!

My Windows corrupted and I had to reinstall after I had already preloaded. This had a similar effect to moving the install folder to a different drive. GOG Galaxy detected the game but the patch would fail due to not being able to find the installation folder.

I tried everything I could think of but in the end, downloading the registry key fixed the issue immediately. GOG Galaxy SHOULD check for a registry entry for a game when you click "INSTALL" ... but it doesn't.

Anyway, it's working now. For anyone having an issue where the patch is failing you are most likely in the same boat as me. I didn't have to customise anything but you may, the registry entries are:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

Mine said the same but expanding the download manager showed that an update had failed. Click the little arrow in the bottom lefthand corner of Galaxy and if it says update failed, you may just have the registry issue I had. See my other post for the registry info
