Hi

Just bought a pc for this game so I am new to downloading games. I had xbox1

I bought the witcher 3 here

The issue is the game says its installing but has not progressed at all. Mean while the time remaining is going up.

When I was downloading the game files some of them failed so I re downloaded them.

What is going on here?

Help would be greatly appreciated

Did you try it with gog galaxy ?

If not, I'd give it a try to see if it works for you.

Can take an hour to install. If you've downloaded the files launch the launcher and make sure you have it set to verify the files. That can take anywhere upto 10minutes depending on your machine. It'll then start to install the game, which can take upwards of an hour.

If you're missing files or they're broken, it'll tell you and you just have to redownload them.

My advice is once you get it set up to install, leave it be, go grab a coffee, walk the dog, watch the latest NCIS LA episode or something to kill an hour

This short thread may be of some use to you.

It would help to find a solution quicker, if you told us how you downloaded the files/game, via Galaxy, via GOG Downloader or manually via browser/download manager.

Thanks guys

I stop the installation process and re did it but verified files first. Bin 1 & 2 didn't download properly so I deleted them and am re downloading the now. Hopefully that will fix it. I'll update soon

During installation there's a checkbox "check files integrity", enable it.

i got all the files (bins) but if i open the setup it asks me to open a bin with bin do i need to open?

In here you will find a list of needed files and their hash sums. Check all the files and see if any of them corrupted. The installer shouldn't ask for files when you put them all in one place.
