so i just bought the game i was wondering if i sould instantly activate the game through gog or insect the disc and perform a usual installation. I am afraid that if do the ordinary istallation i might miss my chanse of having the game on gog, is that possible?

The retail discs will be the original version of the game.

I would redeem the code that is on the manual on GOG and download the newest versions of the the game files, patch, DLC's and expansions (if you got them as well). You will be guaranteed to the most up-to-date installation that way.

Have fun. Hope you have A LOT of time to play. You'll need it.
