well i downloaded the different parts via gog downloader , when i intall using the installer it asks me for a file so i look for the file and it starts to install however the installation time keeps increasing. should i wait until it asks me for the next file?

It shouldn't ask for any files. Put all downloaded files in one place and run .exe. Don't forget to "Check files integrity before installation". In that way the installer tells you what files are broken, if there are any.

hey just got my version to pre load.. i had about 5gb downloaded and needed to restart my pc for some updates.. after i did, the game wouldn't continue download through gog galaxy.. said installation failed due to insufficient space.. so i have to download again from the start.

i 'd like to note that i had some 40gb available on my main SSD which the game would download and after first installation try it reserver the 26g so i guess after restarted 14gb wouldnt be enough and thus the error.. but the game was already installing on my pc.. anyway this time i have switched to download the files on my secondary which is 2tb and has plenty space.. so if i restart next time will it continue or do i have to leave pc on to download all of it?

Re-download it manually in browser from the game page on GOG site. There are 7 parts, choose the broken one. I really doubt Galaxy will resume download, though I've never checked it, managed to download whole game in one attempt. In any case I'd recommend to download the installer using GOG Downloader and then install the game. Galaxy will automatically detect it and add to the side panel ready to play on 19th (just checked it).
