I lost count of the number of times this game has amazed me so far.

Almost 6 hrs in. Playing smooth as butter on high settings. No technical issues encountered at all.

Still waiting for someone to do a horse well though. This is a step up from most, but he still refuses to move over a 6 inch wall. I won't be using it, sorry Roach. lol

I'm running high on the following...

i5 3470 at 3.2
8 gig system ram
660ti w/ 4 gig ram
win 8.1 64bit
installed on SSD, when loading save the little video plays and then a screen with what I think is a tip displays for about a second but I can't be sure because I never have time to read it

I am extremely pleased and having loads of fun.

Thanks CDPR, big time.
Yes, the game is great. All the negativity here should not prevent that people buy the game. All the people that really enjoy the game are just playing and not posting here, that is why so the board is full of complaining.
There are some issues for some people that definately need to be fixed but in general the game runs great. I did not have a single crash, bug or whatever in roundabout 10 hours.
Even on HDDs the loading time is pretty short, the only loading that takes some time is the first one after you start the game and that is definately ok.

@OP What exactly do you mean with 'to do a horse well'? If I understand you correct you are complaining that Roach gets stuck on low objects? Well.. you know that you can jump with Roach, right?

With higher objects jumping is fine. The problem with low objects is you don't always see them. Roach sure does though and comes to a dead stop. LOL Roach should be programmed to auto-jump over very short objects, such as the little walls around a graveyard in the first area of the game. They're a few inches high.

Don't mind me, I have yet to find a game where I liked the horse. Doesn't mean I don't love this game. Because I absolutely do.
Love the game. No problems so far for me except a little stuttering, but that is because I am playing on a GTX 560.
Perfect game in my eyes
Interesting that you get such good performance for such an "old" card. Feedback on that seems to be really mixed. Maybe it's just that everyone is pushing for all "Ultra", when even "High" looks great.

And yeah, I have it on an SSD too, which probably helps, but I can confirm that loading times so far haven't been a problem.

BTW: What are you talking about -- Zelda: Ocarina of Time did horses right ( sort of ), all the way back on the N64. ;P

( Or what about Shadow of Colossus, or Assassin's Creed? Hmm... )

That's normal. The complaints almost universally seem to outweigh the positive feedback on a product. I fully expected the forums to go bonkerz shortly before and after release. Most of the people enjoying the game, are probably too busy with playing, as you said.

You'd think he ( she... it?) could just step over them, with those long, hooved legs.

Oh well, at least Geralt himself can do a bit of jumping and climbing this time around. :)
