I just bought Witcher 3 last night and have been running it for a few hours trying to figure out why I can't save. When I attempt to save it comes up with the message " Saves created with this version of the game will be incompatible with previous versions of the game". I've been looking up other fixes and I just can't seem to correct the problem. When the pause the game it doesn't even come up with loading a game as an option in my main menu screen or in my pause menu!
* What version of the game do you have?
* What version of any DLCs do you have?
* Where did you buy the game and where did you buy the DLCs?
* What operating system do you have?
Witcher is version 1.12.1
I only have the Free DLC pack with the 16 free downloads.
I'm using Windows 10 home edition.
I bought the game at Walmart and when it installed
GOG Galaxy version 1.1.5(beta) I purchased the free DLC from there.

If you got the free DLCs from GOG they (saved games) will be incompatible with your 1.12 game. You need to update your game to 1.31.
I found the fix. When using GOG to Play "The Witcher 3" the files for Witcher are hidden inside of the C: Drive under the GOG Galaxy area. Get into it to find your Bin where you will find the Witcher 3.EXE. Right click on it and select properties. Share the .Exe file with the "everyone" section, then if you select the .Exe file with a right click, select to run it as an administrator. Try to save as soon as you. I hope this helps if you are having problems!
