I am really frustrated. I hope anyone can help me...
First, let me explain my problem:

It all started when I patched the game from 1.08 to 1.10. Due to some error I had massive graphical errors in 1.10.
I decided to deintall the game and completely reinstall it (HUGE mistake -.-)
So, first I tried to reinstall it from the DVDs. I ALWAYS seem to generate the -3 checksum error, always changing from DVD 1 to 3 - I never even came to DVD4.

Strange this is, that I installed it from the DVDs after release...

So I tried to download it with GOG.com...
First I downloaded the game + patches (37GB) only so see that that <1% left the program made no progress anymore.
Then, I tried only the main files without any updates (24GB), but at 100% the download just said "failure" ...
Then, I tried to download it via the GOG Downloader, but I cannot get the downloader to work, so every time I start the download, it just appears in the GOG main windows.

System is Windows 7, Intel Core i7, Radeon RX 290.

Seriously, I start to hate GOG... I just wanna play :-(

Can anyone provide me with some help?

1. Uninstall the game
2. Uninstall GOG Galaxy
3. Uninstall GOG Downloader
4. Reboot your computer
5. Empty your %TEMP% folder
6. Re-download GOG Downloader
7. Go to the GOG web page (NOT Galaxy... the web page) in your browser
8. Re-download the game by going to your account (top right of browser), selecting TW3, and 'More >> GOG Downloader Links'

Choose 'Windows Installer, German' (or whichever language you want)

The installer is v1.06, so also click on the four 1.10 patch links:

gogdownloader://the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_game/de1patch7

Lastly, download the 1.11 patch:
gogdownloader://the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_game/de1patch8

You may need the language packs:
gogdownloader://the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_game/de1langpack1
gogdownloader://the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_game/de1langpack3
gogdownloader://the_witcher_3_wild_hunt_game/de1langpack4

Note that I am assuming you want the German version.

Once everything is downloaded, install the game by double clicking the game installer followed by patches and any language packs. BE PATIENT, it can take some time, and this is especially true of patches; don't think it has hung, just wait...

Note I have purposely left out GOG Galaxy, because it seems to cause more trouble than it's worth. Do things manually, and you can't go wrong.

I was finally able to reinstall the game. What a struggle...
I had about 12 (!) checksum errors in the download with GOG Downloader, but I was able to find a way around that:

Everytime I had to restart the download, and all the files were deleted in the download folder. If they are extracted before clearing the download list, and copied in again before downloading the file again, the download will resume at the point were it just got a checksum error.
Fortunately, it works perfectly and the game is correctly installed :)
