NOt install gog software with the complete witcher 3 .. i want to play this without having to play it through this site all the time... if i had know it would play like this i would not have bought this editon .. this is a major pia... help

It's simple: uninstall Galaxy via Control Panel. Now go to gog.com via your browser, navigate to your games shelf and select The Witcher 3. Now choose 'More >> Classic Installers'. Download those and install.

Yea, like Hickory says. The Classic installer is without GOG Galaxy but tends to be "hidden", just choose it in the drop down list. I made the same mistake first time until I realise about half way through the download and had to start again!

so i guess there is no way to pull up the ` console ?

Of course there is. Once the game is installed and NOT running, navigate to
..\The Witcher 3 - Wild Hunt\bin\config\base\
and open 'general.ini' in Notepad. Make sure it contains the following and save.

[General]
ConfigVersion=2
DBGConsoleOn=true

Now you can open the console in-game.

gog is gone but still has files in my game.
I went to game under my name and clicked.
However I do not seem to have a game shelf.(?)and no W3.
What to do?
My W3 is from retail dvd and stupidly added gog.
I just want the old launcher like the OP.

game just got modded and still problems ( another story) hope I don't hafta reinstall get the nexus mod for roaches unlimited stamina mod :P

There will be a serial number inside the retail box. This is a gog.com back up code provided by all legitimate retail copies. Register that with gog.com and it will be added to your game shelf.

I ended up uninstalling/ reinstalling W3 ( after backing up the changes I made in mods and console).
I found out with my box GOG is part and parcel to the install and only the first log in is optional.
I will follow what you said and see if that works.

update: no go and I already used the registration number at initial install.
GOG uninstalled can't re enter reg # and library still empty.
