So I downloaded the game in GOG Galaxy and onto my desktop. It wont let me press play on GOG it says that it is waiting for release ?

On my desktop it says 'Install the last small piece of the game, which becomes available upon the game's release on the May 19th. This can be downloaded with GOG Galaxy, or manually downloaded from GOG.com

Which would be easier to fix and how do i do so please help!?

Q.: I installed the game and it is well after 19th May, Galaxy still displays 'Waiting for release' and the 'Play' button is greyed out. What can I do?
A.:

1. Exit Galaxy
2. Open it up again
3. Select the game, click More -> Manage -> Verify/Repair
4. Wait for the patching process to finish
5. Play
Thankyou where are the sticky posts ?

Just it also says the that there is a version of the game running when there isnt ?

Check your task manager if there is an old witcher3.exe or something similar running.
Maybe restart your computer.

Neither of them have worked im even trying to uninstall GOG Galaxy and reinstall it but its not worked
Hmm if everything fails you can always download the game from the website and ignore galaxy.
I did that and it also said that i need to update it on the 19th of my and that has been resolved through GOG but it keeps saying a version is running when it is not

Man, have you installed the patches? Try manually downloading them from the site and installing them.
I have and then i uninstalled them, and now it wont even let me click on them for some reason
Installed all the patches?

Try deactivating any and all sotware that could interfere with the game. Steam, Antivirus, Firewall.. all "services" that have an interest in your open processes.

After that I'am clueless.

In order to tell you that the process is already running after you restarted your computer, it has to start for a split second and then crash and then, and only on the second start, it could give you that message. Well except if everything is absolutely corrupted and the actual message is just a symptom of a bigger problem.
Okay it now lets me press play however it flashes onto a black screen for 2 seconds and then turns it back off so that i can press play again and repeat, any idea ? and thanks for your help guys
