So I just bought the Miraculous Guide to Gwent in Novigrad, and it says that there is one card to be found in White Orchard. Now unfortunately I can't remember whether I did in fact buy all the available cards there in the prologue, but from what I can tell from online lists all the White Orchard cards are in my deck--and anyway, Bram is supposed to sell any cards one forgot to buy from the inkeeper, right? Anyone got an idea whether this is just a glitch with the guide or I'm actually missing one?
I missed the 1st inn keeper as well, and was able to buy it from the merchant they added outside near the fast travel post. I've also finished the Collect them all quest.

I however was missing 3 when I got the book and it was saying Skellige Islands, so I was in a worse boat than you, but managed to find BOTH Gwent players after first 3 checks. Here's how:

Look at the book. If it says you can't play anyone for cards i.e. it lists "0" as those with cards to "win", then that narrows down the list to ONLY cards that can be purchased ;) So look at a guide for White Orchard and figure out if the card is bought from inventory or won in a match.

IIRC, I think the blacksmith could get cards in his inventory twice, meaning buy the cards, close inventory and back out of talking with him, then open his menu again and he had another card (it would be a double, and fairly certain it was a special card), so check him again. Otherwise, use the process of elimination :)
I don't think there is anyone you can actually play for cards in White Orchard though, is there?

Yes, the scholar in the inn. You play him for Zoltan.

I could have sworn I'd beaten him during the prologue, but looking over my deck, it seems I'm missing Zoltan :/

Since he's not around anymore I guess I'm outta luck...

EDIT: Turns out you can find the card on his corpse under the Hanged Man's Tree. It just gets counted as a White Orchard card in the Guide. Thanks!

Yes, that was patched in as a fail-safe, as was some other easy-to-miss cards like Dijkstra from the Bloody Baron -- can't remember the others offhand.
I'm having a little bit of trouble. Started NG+ and came back for the Blood and Wine DLC and wanted to start fresh and change some things from last playthrough.

The book for Gwent is new to me and I believe I've purchased all the cards from the Barkeep and I got the Zolton card from the scholar. But when I check my list under the book it says I still need 1 card.

What's weird is that it had said I needed 1 and I went back to the barkeep and saw she had a Decoy for sale. Bought it and still it says I need 1 card.

Anyone have an idea of what's going on here? Is there a card outside of White Orchard that's considered from there?

Go here and check your cards. Down the right-hand side you can check off the cards in your hand and that will tell you what's missing.

That's a helpful app but I'm having trouble understanding it.

For instance Blue Stripes Commando there's 1 for White Orchard but I have 3. I'm guessing 2 are from the base deck you start with?

I'm having trouble telling what's what in those terms.

From what I can tell though I have everything on the list for White Orchard but still there's 1 listed as missing.

On the checklist to the right, those entries that are already checked off are those that you start the game with. I have a couple of questions:
1. How far into the game are you? You are talking about White Orchad.
2. Have you checked the leader cards as well as the playable cards?
3. Do you know the name of the missing card?

1. I'm at the beginning of NG+ The only quests I've done so far are "The Beast of White Orchard", "Missing in Action", "A Frying Pan, Spick and Span" and "Kaer Morhen".

I'm still in White Orchard, I'm currently at the "Prepare to leave White Orchard with Vesemir" stage of the "Lilac and Gooseberries" quest.

2. Yeah I have "Foltest Lord Commander of the North" as well as "Foltest King of Temeria".

3. No I'm afraid I can't discern that, at least I haven't as of yet.

4. The sequence of events so far have been me originally going to the barkeep and buying all she had. I played the Scholar and got Zolton Chivay. Went out on a bit more questing, came back just a bit before where I currently am and checked the barkeep again. This time she was selling just a single Decoy so I grabbed that. I have 2 Decoy cards but still listed on my card log that I'm missing 1 from White Orchard.

Edit: Here are all the cards I have currently

2x Impenetrable Fog
1x Torrential Rain
1x Clear Weather
1x Catapult
1x Yarpen Zigrin
2x Poor Fucking Infantry
2x Redanian Foot Soldier
2x Decoy

Atarius: Edit: Here are all the cards I have currently
According to that list you have everything. There is nothing else in White Orchard to find or buy. You may move on. I suggest that the in-game guide is faulty.

Okay that's good to know then. Hopefully they fix that.

If it eases your mind, I got the 'Get 'em all' quest completion with the last (1.21) patch -- I never consulted the book -- so everything that should be there *is* there. You also don't have to worry about DLC cards for that quest.

Side note: I love the new Skellige deck. :)

I look forward to a new deck for sure!

I can't wait for the standalone game I hope it puts games like Hearthstone on notice.
